The carved wooden entrance sign to Merlin’s Way, on the woodland walk
There have been many changes to our event this year. the camp is now organised and run by a group of home educators, for home educators with the full support of the folks at the Pengraig community. This is the 11th year a home ed event has been running at the farm and we have all that is familiar to people who have joined us in the past. Our 78 acre site has loads of room to stretch out. We have our compost loos undergoing refurbishment this spring including the disabled access loo. Our shower block which is also disabled access. The pirate ship playpark and giant sandpit and the interactive woodland walk with it`s bushcraft camp at the top.
We are funding and buying our own marquees in time for May. So the field will change visually but many of the old marquees where in need of replacement so we feel this is no bad thing. the rides are in discussion at the moment and we are not wanting to create a like for like experience.
We have our environmental education sessions with Paul, Phil and Jake.
Our open mic / performance tent with Martyn and Liz.
Our sacred space with mima and Sophie and hopefully the twins to confirm.
The craft tent will continue to be led by Lisa and Jacques with help from Sarah and others.
There will be a whole new drama set up running and many of the things you are familiar with and the people running them will be the same.
We also have the possibility of gymnastic and acro sessions and many more things in the next few weeks.
We also have a whole new cafe run by the lovely Kate.
We still have 5 low draw electric hook ups available for an extra £25 but these sell out quickly.
Just a brief intro as the rest of the site will be updated when the new site goes live so for now ignore the rest please.
So if you`d like to book for the early bird offer, the email contact is on the contact us page on this site.

To answer a few of your questions:-
The camp cost includes camping in your own unit, there is plenty of space so no restrictions on number of tents, caravans, camper vans or anything else you choose to camp in for the week. You do not have to book our accomodation, it`s an extra for those who don`t want to camp.
We have very reasonably priced vegetarian food available every year, it is not included in the camp cost but available as an extra, should you wish to take it.
Dogs are allowed under these strict rules……Must be kept on leads at all times and that you clear up after them. There are dogs, cats and various livestock around the farm. If your dog has issues with any of these we would ask you to make other arrangements for them.
The farm is accessible by public transport, we have families who come each year by bus and train. The nearest bus stop is in Drefach Felindre 5 minutes drive down the hill and we can pick you up from there. The nearest train station is Carmarthen, a half hour drive away. If you are arriving by public transport please let us know either via the contact us link on the website or on our facebook page.
We don`t send out tickets and info anymore. Keep in touch via facebook or e mail. We send out detailed instructions with directions a couple of weeks before we start with our contact details including mobile numbers, should you need to get in touch.
